***Divers under 15 years old can earn a Junior Diver certification. Certification, as for adults, is based on mastery learning.
Junior Diver cards indicate age-related restrictions.
After certification:
- 10–11 years: only dives with a parent, guardian, or PADI professional, maximum depth 12 m / 40 ft
- 12–14 years: only dives with an adult certified diver
**** A medical certificate is required if the course takes place in Germany. If the course is conducted in Egypt, a PADI standard medical form must be completed on board.
PADI Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular scuba diving course, having introduced millions of people around the world to the fascinating world beneath the waves.
This course teaches you the fundamentals of diving in a safe and controlled environment. It is divided into knowledge transfer using PADI E Learning, confined water skills training sessions and open water dives. It is a performance-based course that allows for flexible learning.
At Amun Divers we place emphasis on teaching our students sound diving skills to give them more control in the water, increasing both their comfort and enjoyment.
We teach all of our Open Water courses with each student using own dive computer during the course. The result is confident students who truly understand the limits of diving in a safe manner.
All our diving training takes place in the sea in Hurghada, so you have a fantastic experience right from the start.
After completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will be able to dive anywhere in the world and explore new places.*
*PADI Junior Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water course is available for children ages 10 and up, so it's a great opportunity to get the whole family involved in the fun!
The younger divers are certified as Junior Open Water Divers, with a restriction on their maximum diving depth (12 meters). On their 15th birthday, their certification is automatically upgraded to the same standards as the adult (18 meters).
